From the deck of the Meremaid Houseboat, one can experience the great expanse of untamed water that Lake Kariba has to offer. Lake Kariba is located on the Zambezi River, and is the world’s largest manmade lake.  Besides our spectacular African Sunsets, one can indulge in the ultimate wildlife experience by seeing animals such as Elephant, Hippo, Buffalo, and Crocodile, just to name a few,  So whether you are dinning, taking in the gorgeous sunsets, or attempting to land your very first tiger fish, our professional team of 5 will be there to meet your every need.

For our avid bird watchers, there is an abundance of birds you can spot, such as the fish eagle, Kingfishers and Cormorants.

Lake Kariba offers some excellent fishing whether you want the fight of a Tiger fish, or the all-day patience of the bream, then this is where you should cast your Line…

The Meremaid houseboat offers 6 double air-conditioned rooms with personal wash hand basins, 3 toilets, 2 baths & 2 showers. Among its many attributes is an air-conditioned glass paneled bar, full DSTV, and a splash pool too cool off on those hot afternoons. For our fitness fundies, we have 2 spinning bikes and a variety of weights, which allows you to work off all that is consumed whilst on your break away.

There are 2 Skimmer boats, for your game viewing, fishing or your booze cruise pleasures.
